Valve (as expected) is officially in the hardware business as its Steam Machines [j.mp] are coming in 2014. Still unanswered questions on it though.

I think @jaredsinclair nailed it in the head on why Instagram blew it [blog.jaredsinclair.com] with their iOS 7 update, I do agree its a mess although it was decent not great for sure.
One downside of getting around midtown on rush hour: Going to a destination & need to tell them good reasons for lateness (luckily this week’s a good one due to the UN conference.)
