I actually loved Skype before Microsoft burned it tot he ground, shame would have been something today instead of most people went the Facebook route now (since FB owns most of the communication around here).

As for Teams, it is a free add on if you have Office 365 so that's most of the appeal and userbase comes from.

When I first tried Teams (via a demo), it was just like a glorified version of Skype only for enterprises. Also, it's free vis Office 365 as well so that's the appeal to most consumers and businesses.

Teams is kicking Slack’s ass right now given the news today that they have widen their DAU (Daily Active Users) lead. Maybe a new users push caused it.
