@bazbt3 The author is slating his opinion compared to Norton/Symantec in the WSJ interview but yes I agree that is premature to say that it's dead considering they're one of the pioneers.
So Norton/Symantec says antivirus is dead [j.mp], that's quite shocking considering it's an important tool for fending off viruses.
